explanation

Some people who say they are Christians are acting just like the people around them with drinking, cussing, having sex outside of marriage, etc., and they say that since Jesus died on the cross that their sins don't count anymore. They love to throw the 'don't judge' around and 'legalistic'.

I came across this post on Facebook and I wanted to share it with you because this person explains how wrong their reasoning is and I want to keep this close so that the next time I come across someone who is only reading parts of the Bible they want to twist - I can use this.

Christ Centered (This will take you to the original post.)

SIDE NOTE: As I listen to this morning's song, I am reminded once again of the apostate church and how so many are going in the ways of the world. Adopting the world's thinking and turning from the truth ONLY found in the Word of God.

I remember I once rebuked a fellow "Christian" because his language was SO terrible and he would post really obscene things that we should have nothing to do with. His response? Actually, it was him and a friend of his who proceeded to debate with me on how there is no need for repentance since all was paid at the Cross and so they just trust in Christ for their redemption.

Isn't that JUST like the enemy? To take something that is true and twist it ever so slightly that it deceives millions. Yes, it IS true that Christ paid our sin IN FULL at the Cross BUT if you stopped there, then you clearly don't believe in ALL of the Bible and just like to read the passages that make you comfortable in your sin.

If you read the WHOLE Bible, you will see again and AGAIN that God calls us to Holiness and even says that without Holiness, we will NEVER see Him. He says that brackish and clean water cannot come from the same mouth. He says in Romans 6:1 "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be!" He says in Hebrews 10:26 "For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES." And MANY more scriptures.

Yes, you will continue to sin until you die - since even getting angry for selfish reasons - is a sin in a God that is SO Holy… BUT you will DEF not sin as you did as an unsaved person. There is a BIG difference between WILLFUL/DELIBERATE sin - which God speaks of - and the struggles we face as humans when we sin and HATE what we do. The Apostle Paul summed it up - "that which I want to do, I don't and that which I don't want to do, i do". TOO many claim Christ and yet they embrace and LOVE their sin and make excuses for it and these WILL face judgment - and those that support them, will TOO - the scriptures are clear. When you read God's Word and you see what He hates, when He lives in you, HOW can you not hate it too?

The problem with the "church" today is that they have painted everything with a love brush and have pushed God's righteousness and Holiness to the side since it is those two attributes of God which call for judgement against sin - yes, even in the "church" there will be GREAT judgement since He says that "to whom much is given, much MORE is required" and SO many are falling away from the truth - just as He predicted - and embracing the lies of satan. Convincing people that God is fine with abortion, adultery, lies, deceit, homosexual relationships and every other sin that is so prevalent in the "church" today - all in the name of "love". Spouting the unBibilical "do not judge" rubbish that I tire of hearing from people who CLEARLY don't read the scriptures.

It makes me sick to my stomach the condition of the "church".

But to those who have picked up their cross, cast off their flesh and who have held onto the truth in God's Word and who are struggling in life with all of life's curveballs and are crying out to God with broken hearts, this morning's song is for you… Yes, the Cross HAS made you flawless - TRUST HIM!

Let me introduce you to AMAZING GRACE. AMEN!  God bless your day!
