things that make you go hmmmm

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to Kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing.

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being
disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you!

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities'?

living waters

Listening to the radio this morning as Dr. Vernon McGee was telling the story about a little girl telling him that Christians are the salt of the world. He asked his listeners if any of us have made anyone thirsty today.

a thank you

I received a note from Eleanor Hahn (used to work here) thanking all of us for our prayers—she is still going thru extensive chemo and she truly needs our continued prayers.

an invitation

One of our members has sent this invitation to us:

If you know anyone is has one illness or another, and are willing to believe GOD for their healing, I encourage you to bring them along with you to the June 11, 2012 night of Divine Restoration and Dedication meeting with the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of GOD, Pastor E.A. Adeboye. This is a great anointed man of GOD that the LORD has been greatly using to perform awesome and mighty signs and wonders.

At one time, he had gone to pray for just one person in a hospital ward and all the sick people in that ward received their healing and were discharged from the hospital. A lady that had been barren for a great number of years only sat on the seat where Pastor E.A. Adeboye had sat and she received her breakthrough. Many testimonies have been shared by people that he had prayed upon an handkerchief and given back to them to go place on their sick, and they received their healing. Some have just scooped the sand where his feet had tread upon and placed it on their sick and the sick recovered. If you’re willing to believe GOD for you/your friend/family member’s healing, I encourage you to come with faith and expect the LORD to use his vessel to minister healing to you in Jesus name.

The Bible says, “…thy expectation shall not be cut off” (Proverbs 24: 14) and that is my prayer for you. As you come expecting GOD to do something particular in your life, I pray that this June 11, 2012 visitation will mark a life transformational change for you and your family in Jesus name.

Witness: Proclaiming my Faith through Baptism and Communion

I give witness to my faith in Christ by the two practices Christ instructed the local church to observe: baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Matthew 3:13-17
Acts 8: 36-39
Romans 6:1-7

Dipo reminds us that his church is hosting a very important speaker and we are invited to worship with them on June 11, 2012 at 7 pm at Wisdom Embassy in KCMO. His church is also hosting a prayer service nightly this week at 7 pm that he wants to invite us to as well.
